A family shared their heartbreaking story with us.

Their 36‑year‑old son, living in Australia, had jaw pain that wouldn‘t go away. The dentist treated it as a routine tooth problem. Again and again.

It took eight months to get a diagnosis: jaw sarcoma (osteosarcoma), already 7cm, high grade.

They learned that local doctors might see one or two such cases per year. The family chose to return to Guangzhou, China for surgery and treatment. But it was a pity! It was too late!

    The cancer recurred after 4months!

The family found us and asked us help them get second opinions from top sarcoma experts in Beijing and Shanghai – proxy consultations, because the patient was undergoing proton therapy in another province.

The experts gave detailed recommendations. The treating physicians in Hubei incorporated them.

But the family kept asking: what if it had been caught three months earlier? Six months earlier?

⏳ Time is not just money. In rare and aggressive diseases, time is tissue. Time is options.

💬 Have you or a family member experienced a delayed diagnosis? How did you cope? What would you tell others who are in a similar situation?

Let‘s talk. Your story might help someone else take action sooner.
